ITANAGAR, Nov 21: Arunachal Pradesh has maintainted the recent trend of more COVID-19 recoveries than fresh cases in a single-day as 67 people were cured of the disease while 36 new infections pushed the tally to 16037, the state bulletin on Covid-19 reported on Saturday.
Altogether 67 people were discharged from hospitals on Saturday, taking the total number of recoveries in the state to 14,937, State Surveillance Officer (SSO), Dr Lobsang Jampa said.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients in the state currently stands at 93 per cent while the death ratio stands at 0.30 per cent.
Arunachal Pradesh currently has 1051 active cases. The COVID-19 death toll in the state is at 49.
Of the 36 new COVID-19 cases, 9 were reported from the Capital Complex region, East Siang (9), three each from Changlang, Siang, West Kameng, Leparada and one each from West Siang, Lohit, Lower Siang, Anjaw, Tawang and Lower Dibang Valley.
Barring 7, all new patients are asymptomatic and have been shifted to Covid Care Centres.
The Capital Complex region, comprising Itanagar, Naharlagun, Nirjuli and Banderdewa areas, has the highest number of active cases at 699, followed by West Kameng (89), East Siang (45) and Leparada (31).
