DOIMUKH, Aug 9:  Hundreds of Congress workers under the leadership of President Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee, Nabam Tuki participated in a "Padyatra" from Doimukh to Sagalee as part of Bharat Jodo Yatra (Unite India Movement) to commemorate the completion of 75 years of India's Independence.
Speaking to the media, Tuki informed that, the 75km long foot march is to commemorate the 75th year of India’s independence. "This yatra is a tribute to those freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the nation during the freedom struggle. The foot march has been organized under the direction of  All India Congress Committee(AICC)  all over India," he said.
The march that started today from Doimukh today will culminate at Sagalee on Wednesday.
