Guwahati, May 15: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Arunachal Pradesh unit is set to host a four-day orientation-cum-training programme for its Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs) and Members of Parliament (MPs) from May 16 to 19 in Guwahati, Assam. The initiative aims to enhance leadership role and development planning capacity among the party's legislators.
Zingnu Namchoom, MLA and State General Secretary, and Convenor of the event stated that the programme will blend academic insights with practical training. "The sessions are designed to bring qualitative improvements in party functioning and public service delivery,” he said. Namchoom confirmed that the venue is fully prepared and expressed confidence that the event will empower legislators to perform their legislative duties more effectively and contribute meaningfully to Arunachal Pradesh's development.
The training will feature eminent resource persons from across India, including Union Minister of Communications and Development of North Eastern Region Jyotiraditya Scindia, Union Minister for Parliamentary and Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, among others.
State BJP President Kaling Moyong, along with Namchoom and a team of party workers are already in Guwahati to oversee final arrangements.
