ITANAGAR, Jan 12: Secretary Skill Development Arunachal Pradesh, SD Sundresan inaugurated Arun Urja Skills Centre at Daporijo, Upper Subansiri district on January 9 last. The centre has been set up by the Sri Sri Rural Development Programme Trust of Art of Living Bengaluru with financial support of NABARD to support the youth, skill them for their growth so that they become self dependent, eligible for employment and do some of their own business.
The first batch of youth numbering 67 boys and girls started their program with Youth Leadership Training Program. 
This centre has opened up opportunities for SSRDP in interior Arunachal. This is the second skills centre in Arunachal, first being Tezu. 
SSRDP has done solar electrification projects in 8 villages of Tali circle in Kra Daadi district, school solar electrification in 10 schools of Dibang Valley with digital literacy in 9 schools by providing Smart Class & Computers through Border Village Development Programme.
