TEZU, Feb 22: In a noble gesture, Arunachal Artists' Forum (AAF), Lohit unit today organized a blood donation drive here at the Tezu Zonal General Hospital.
At least 14 units of blood were collected during the camp. Speaking on the occasion, Chairman, Arunachal Artists' Forum, Lohit unit Announ Bellai appreciated the donors for coming forward for the cause of humanity. Every next day we receive information about shortage of blood in hospitals and donating blood is one of the most prestigious noble works that gives life to others, he said while assuring to organize more such events in the days to come. Appreciating the AAF for the noble initiative, Medical Superintendent Dr. Singh appealed to the people to be part of the initiative.
There is nothing harmful in donating blood, instead it will make the donor more healthy, he informed, adding that the donated blood  can be preserved for at least 35 days.
