ITANAGAR, Sep 8: Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSRLM) inked MoU (Non-Financial) with Yes Bank for digital finance of Self Help Groups (SHG) under DAY-NRLM here on Wednesday at ArSLRM office.
Speaking on the occasion, Secretary Secretary-Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Amarnath Talwade informed that the objective of the signing of MoU with Yes Bank is to confer financial assistance to the various Self Help Groups in the state.
The responsibility of the bank will be to give loans and also guide the SHGs in market linkage as well as other needed supports for microfinance activities, stated the Secretary. He further added that SHGs are engaged in various economic activities like the contribution of funds from each member, poultry, piggery, Agri-Horti produces, personal loans for microfinance activities even Government India also provides Revolving Fund of Rs15,000 to support them, So here  Bank will also give necessary support for the success of their activities.
Talwade also informed that, there are 3500 SHGs in the state and the target is to create at least 6000 SHGs by the end of this financial year. As of now three banks-- State Bank of India, Arunachal Rural Bank, Arunachal Pradesh Apex Bank and now Yes Bank are being associated with the  ArSRLM to support and guide the financial activities of the SHGs.  
Besides, Secretary RD &PR , CEO cum SMD, ArSRLM Solung Miji, State Mission Manager(Finance)-Hillang Tasap, Chief Operating Officer(Programme)ArSLRM- Dr Rakesh Srivastava attended the ceremony and from  Yes Bank, Gautam Gogoi-Assistant Vice President, Transactional Banking Group,  Kishore Kalita- Senior Vice President, Institutional & Government Banking , Nitin Kuchhal-Senior Vice President, Segment Head Digital Banking , Pradeep Srivastava- Executive Vice President, Agri Banking & Fasar , Partha Pratim Goswami- President, Segment Head, Government Banking and  Ravi Roy -Vice President 'Government Banking Yes Bank Ltd attended the event.
