KHONSA, Feb 4:  Khonsa Battalion of Assam Rifles in collaboration with the District Transport Department and Tirap Police conducted a three-day awareness campaign on road safety from February 2-4 here at the 6 Assam Rifles campus as part of the ongoing National Road Safety Month observation.
Gracing the occasion as Chief Guest Tirap SP Kardak Riba appreciated the Khonsa Battalion for conducting the awareness programme and urged the student community and youth leaders to spread awareness in every corner of the district regarding traffic rules, compulsory use of helmets etc. DTO Aman Wangsaham distributed helmets to the students present in the event. The programme concluded with distribution of pamphlets on road safety to the members of All Tirap District Students’ Union (ATDSU).  
Meanwhile, a similar awareness campaign was organised in Deomali under the aegis of Tirap Police in collaboration with local administration in which a two and three wheeler rally was flagged off by ADC Deomali Penga Tato. DIPRO
