ITANAGAR, Aug 18: The Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Society (APWWS) has welcomed the appointment of Gumri Ringu as the Chairperson of Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (APSCPCR).
APWWS said that formation of the Commission is the need of the hour as many cases related to child rights are being reported from across the state. Its Secretary General Kani Nada Maling expressed optimism that with vast experience Ringu would make the state a safer place for children.
APWWS has thanked the state government for constitution of the APSCPCR and fulfilling their long-pending demand and extended gratitude to the Minister for Health and Family Welfare Alo Libang and the Department of Women and Child Welfare.
