ITANAGAR, Nov 12: The Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Society has appreciated the Longding police, DySP B Tangjang and his team for rescuing a woman and also lauded DGP RP Upadhyaya for his prompt intervention.
On getting information about the forceful confinement of a pregnant woman in Longding district, Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Society had coordinated with the state police to secure her safe release.
The woman was rescued by police from the house of Konnu village chief and appeared before JMFC, Longding on Thursday, the APWWS said in a release today.
