ITANAGAR, Mar 7: The Arunachal Pradesh Women's Welfare Society (APWWS) welcomed and applauded the state government for introducing first ever child welfare schemes in the budget 2020-21.
“We must understand that if our children's future is secure, then society is in safe hands. This move is certainly commendable as it will have a great impact on the overall development of the next generation,”it said in a press release.
The APWWS hoped that the concerned implementing officials would ensure that the various women and child related schemes announced in the budget reach to the target group especially in remote areas.
It also said that changing breastfeeding rooms in police stations for the victims, providing 33 percent reservation for women in skill development and reservation for women in agriculture would go a long way in empowering women in society.
