ITANAGAR, Aug 4: The Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Society (APWWS) condemned the rape of a minor girl in Diyun, Changlang district. The Society has said that rape cases are alarmingly increasing in the state as it called upon the police to promptly and properly investigate the case for early trial.
Meanwhile, a team from APWWS Miao unit met the family of the girl on Wednesday morning.
Odi Tamut Singhpo, its president said that the child has been taken to Tinsukia in Assam for further treatment.
The Miao unit gave some monetary assistance to the family of the girl.
