ITANAGAR, Apr 6:  The Arunachal Pradesh State Transport Service (APSTS) has surpassed its revenue target of 15.03 crore with a collection of rupees 16.25 crore (108 %) for the year 2016-17.

 APSTS General Manager Abu Tayeng informed that all stations barring few achieved the revenue target and some stations clocked phenomenal performance. 

While congratulating the officers and staff, he also thanked Chief Minister Pema khandu and Parliamentary Secretary Likha Saaya for their wholehearted support.

Tayeng further assured a quantum jump in revenue collection with the full-fledged implementation of e-ticketing and other e-governance measures. He further informed that induction of 28 new buses is also in advance stage.

Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein who is also holding the charge of Finance lauded the APSTS for improvement in revenue collection particularly by a public service department.  DCM hoped that revenue collection will further improve in days to come. He further assured all possible help in improving an essential service department like APSTS.
