ITANAGAR/TEZU Oct 3: One person has been arrested for cheating and three police personnel suspended by Lohit police for negligence of duty during the LDC examination held by the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board held today at Tezu.
In its press statement, Police informed that, APSSB examination was conducted at five centres in Lohit District, where total of 1278 out of 2190 candidates appeared for the examination.
During the closing time of examination at IGG College, Tezu Centre, Room No. 17, the invigilator heard a mobile phone ring. The phone was found in the possession of candidate namely Hindonso Kri, 30 years of age. The invigilators immediately detained the candidate and informed the Centre Superintendent of IGG College, Tezu, Observer and Superintendent of Police, Lohit.
A complaint was received from Centre Superintendent, IGG College Tezu and accordingly a case has been registered at PS Tezu vide No. 39/2021 U/S 420/417/188/120B IPC R/W Section 66 (D) IT Act., informed PRO, Arunachal Pradesh Police.
The accused Hindonso Kri has been arrested, and his cell phone, wallet, headphone were seized and further investigation is in progress to find out other accused. The three police personnel detailed as frisking team have been also suspended immediately and further enquiry will be conducted by SP Lohit District at the earliest, stated the release.
