ITANAGAR, Nov 9: Arunachal State Legal Services Authority (APSLSA) observed the National Legal Services Day today through a small yet impressive programme at the Naharlagun complex of Oju Mission, the shelter home which was attended by its staff members and women and children inmates.
Chairperson, Oju Welfare Society Ratan Anya inaugurated the programme and informed that the home's children are well trained on ‘good touch’ and ‘bad touch’. Member Secretary, APSLSA Jaweplu Chai highlighted the significance of the day which also marked its silver jubilee year. While explaining the participants on the ways and means of seeking legal help through Legal Services Clinics, she thanked the Oju Welfare Society for its hard work in mitigating the sufferings of destitute women and children.
Children of the home performed group songs and dances to celebrate the occasion. Masks and sanitizers were also distributed to all present on the occasion. APSLSA PR
