ITANAGAR, Dec 18: The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW), Itanagar today vehemently condemned the rape of a fourteen year-old girl at Raga, Kamle District by the Principal of the School. The Commission while lauding the District Police for nabbing the culprit has asked the Superintendent of Police for a fair and speedy investigation of the instant case and to book the case under appropriate sections of law and submit the charge sheet at the earliest. The Commission also requested the State Government to provide compensation to the victim under Arunachal Pradesh Victim Compensation Scheme, 2011.
The Commission is very concerned about increasing crime against women and girl child in the state and requests the government to look into the matter as it is a very serious matter, it said in a release. 
It further appealed the general public not to take law in their hands and maintain peace and tranquility so that Police can expedite the case and justice may be delivered to the victim and her family.
