ITANAGAR, Oct 12: The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW), Itanagar has condemned the reported assault of a woman at Deorigaon in Diyun Circle of Changlang District and has expressed deep anguish over the incident.
The APSCW has received a written complaint letter from the Women Welfare Association of Narcotic Cell, Lekang regarding the incident.
Chairperson Radhilu Chai Techi has appreciated the Superintendent of Police, Changlang for arresting 15 accused and assuring of more arrests as early as possible. Further, the Commission has requested social media users to refrain from circulating the said viral video clip which comes under cyber crime. 
A separate case of Domestic Violence was being filed under Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 by the victim against her husband and his family on consultation with the APSCW by CDPO, Namsai. The APSCW has written to the Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Service Authority (APSLSA) to provide free Legal Aid to the victim.The Commission has requested the concerned District Administration and Police Department to look into the matter by conducting free and fair investigation and book the culprits involved in the crime. It also requested people to cooperate with the police investigation so that justice may be given to the victim.
