ITANAGAR, Nov 6: A review meeting on the activities of Arunachal Pradesh State Council for Science & Technology (APSCS&T), DBT Bio-resource Centre, State Remote Sensing Application Centre and Science Centre was conducted today under the chairmanship of APSCS&T Chairman Bamang Mangha.
Expressing satisfaction over the progress of the centres and new projects taken up by the State’s Department of Science & Technology, the Chairman urged the officials to give their best for making Arunachal Pradesh a technology-driven state. While appreciating the development of the Bio-resource Centre at Kimin, he urged the scientists to come up with market-ready herbal formulations using the state’s rich flora as inputs. Highlighting the importance of geo-tagging of projects made by the State Remote Sensing Application Centre, he informed that Arunachal Pradesh is the one of the first states to make geo-tagged photos mandatory while executing special plan and other infrastructure development projects.
Addressing the district coordinators he underscored the importance of scouting grassroots innovators to discover hidden talents from the rural populace.
