ITANAGAR, Oct 13: Arunachal Pradesh Police has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with State Bank of India for converting the existing SBI accounts of its permanent employees into Police Salary Package (PSP) Accounts in all SBI branches in the state.
DIGP Hq Madhur Verma representing APP and Kamlesh Kumar Singh from the SBI administrative office Dibrugarh were the signatories of the MoU that was signed here at the DGP's chamber on Tuesday. As per the MoU, PSP Accounts will be divided into four categories depending on net monthly salary viz. Silver for net salary up to Rs 25000 per month, Gold for Rs 25,000- Rs 50,000 per month, Diamond for Rs 50,001-Rs 1,00,000 per month and Platinum for Rs 1,00,001and above. There will be no minimum balance and annual maintenance charges on ATM-cum-Debit card transactions at SBI and other bank ATMs and all charges related to issuing of demand drafts will also be waived off for the active account holders.
Other complementary benefits will include Personal Accident Insurance (Death) from Rs 5-20 lakh across various categories, Additional Personal Accident (Death) coverage on ATM cards of Rs 2 lakhs for Gold and Diamond debit cards and Rs 5 lakhs on Platinum debit cards. Along with these, up to 25% concession in locker charges, Air Accident Insurance (Death) coverage from Rs 5-30 lakhs etc will also be available for the active salary account holders even with zero balance and without any ATM or POS transactions.
“The MoU is expected to fulfil the banking needs of the state police personnel in a hassle-free manner and benefit more than 15000 families,” APP PRO Dr Hemant Tiwari said in an official press release.
