ITANAGAR, Sep 7: The weeklong webinar titled ‘An Approach to Modern and Scientific Coaching in Football’ for the state’s football coaches organised by the Arunachal Pradesh Football Association (APFA) which commenced on September 1 last concluded here on Monday.
The concluding day’s and the webinar’s last topic was ‘Basic First Aid and Injury Prevention’ wherein the guest speaker was Dr. Somesh Desai, the lead physiotherapist of Hyderabad FC, an Indian Super League (ISL) team. Dr. Desai while dwelling on the science behind injuries to players and their preventive measures emphasized on the role of modern technologies to keep them injury-free and tackling medical tension on and off the field.
Head of Coach Education, All India Football Federation (AIFF) Savio Madeira joined the webinar as a special invitee to encourage the state’s coaches and besides congratulating the APFA for the endeavour, assured every possible assistance in coming days. “For ideal development of the game, all aspects have to be taken forward simultaneously and education of coaches is one of them,” he said while interacting with the coaches and APFA executive members.
Secretary General, Arunachal Olympics Association (AOA) Abraham K Techi joined the last session of the webinar as a special guest to encourage APFA's initiative. State Coordinator, APFA Orin Lego thanked the expert speakers and Gumpe Rime, the moderator for lending help in organising the webinar successfully. APFA PR
