PASIGHAT, Jan 21: Apex Professional University observed its 4th convocation ceremony today here at the university campus wherein a total of 216 graduate and postgraduate students from various disciplines received degrees.
APU Chancellor Acharya Dhanwant Singh declared the convocation open followed by lighting of lamp by the dignitaries. Pro-Chancellor Professor Tamo Mibang (RGU Ex Vice-Chancellor) and Dean, College of Horticulture and Forestry, Pasighat Professor B.N. Hazarika were present to bless the graduating students. Vice-Chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Dr. S. Sachidanand graced the event as Chief Guest.
The Chancellor while delivering his presidential address explained his vision to start the first Meta Physics University in India. CA A. Raghvendra Rao, the Chancellor of Srinivas University, Mangalore was conferred with Honorary Causa Degree of D.Litt and Padmashree Dr. John Ebnezar was awarded with the title of Professor Emeritus.
APU VC Professor Rajesh Arora shared his vision in conjunction with the New Education Policy (NEP).
