ITANAGAR, Mar 30: Officers of 2016 batch of the Arunachal Pradesh Civil Services (APCS) jointly contributed Rs 1.60 lakhs for the families of Longliang village under Lazu Circle in Tirap district that was ravaged by a devastating fire on March 18.
The amount was handed over to the deputy commissioner by EAC Lazu DK Thungdok who is the chairman of the fire victims committee along with Borduria circle officer Lim Modi on behalf of APCS 2016 batch for disbursal among the affected families.
The officers hoped that the contribution would bring some respite to the affected families during this hour of distress and crisis.
The contribution was done under the aegis of Project 37, a crowd-funding initiative by the APCS officers of the 2016 batch.
