ITANAGAR, Sep 13: Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee has demanded CBI, ED probe into the corruption charges levelled against the BJP state government.
Speaking to reporters, General Secretary, Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee, Gyamar Tana said why there is no inquiry when  BJP legislators are involved in rape cases, no inquiry when BJP’s  MLAs are involved in corruption charges but instead they press investigation agencies like CBI or ED to harass Congress leaders only.
The BJP-led state government is doing drama to fool the common public. We have only around 14 lakh population in the state, therefore it is out of question to have spent Rs 24 Cr in procuring  masks. Moreover public didn’t receive any such materials from the state government during COVID-19, slammed  Tana in response to the recent statement by the state government spokesperson Nyato Dukam.
This is not only about mismanagement of Rs. 24Cr but there are dozens of organizations that have leveled serious corruption charges against the state government. So, if the BJP is clean and believes in zero tolerance against corruption then they should welcome CBI or ED inquiry on all the charges, stated Tana. The Congress alleged that BJP is using  investigation agencies against the Congress party and those who speak against the BJP but not against their own BJP leaders who are involved in corruption.

"This is the sole reason many MLAs have joined the BJP to save their skin from CBI or ED raids, so there should be proper investigation against all the BJP MLAs and raid be conducted in their houses," said General Secretary APCC Gyamar Tana.
