ITANAGAR, Jul 24:The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee today alleged that some top bureaucrats and technocrats are involved in alluring the voters of 12-Pakke-Kessang assembly constituency by offering government jobs, work orders and cash payments for enabling the ruling party candidate to win in the Bye-Election.

The APCC further said in a release that it will seriously take up the issue of misusing government machineries in the Election as soon as the Election Notification for Bye-Election is announced.

‘Elections are held to seek the mandate of the people in a free and fair manner and individual franchise right are exercised through a secret ballot. But shockingly, in Arunachal Pradesh the saffron brigades are adopting malpractices like cash for vote and pressurizing the government employees to campaign for their party by offering jobs and contract works,’ the APCC said in a release.

The APCC also demanded the Election Commission of India to announce date of Bye-Election for 12-Pakke-Kessang (ST) A/C at the earliest.
