ITANAGAR, Dec 30: All Nyishi Youth Association (ANYA) has resolved to continue its fight against corruption and served a seven days ultimatum to Chief Minister Pema Khandu to resign from his post, following failure to respond to its demands and has threatened to launch a democratic movement.
On December 10, in a press conference, ANYA had alleged Khandu and his relatives of being involved in a multi-crore scam and misuse of funds under various departments.
Addressing media persons at the press club here today, President ANYA Byabang Joram said the CM has failed to provide clarification to the association as demanded earlier. He said the demands of the association concerns the entire public of the state, and not specific to the Nyishi community.
However, he said that a letter for a meeting with the government spokesperson was received today by the association. “We were called for a meeting with government spokesperson Minister Bamang Felix. The meeting was scheduled at 2.30pm and the letter we received was around 11pm. How can we attend the meeting in such a short time,” he questioned, also adding the association sought clarification and not a meeting.
