Tawang, Jul 26: The fourth round camp of Animal Birth Control and Anti-Rabies Vaccination was held today at Army Veterinary Field Hospital at Gyangkhar village.
A team of veterinary doctors from DAHV & DD Tawang, Dr. Tsering Drema, SVOs, VO along with veterinary officials and a team of army veterinary doctors participated in it. Areas like Jang and Tawang had been covered with Lungla still left-out. DVO Tawang Dr A.Tamin said that it would have been difficult to continue the camp without army’s help and the menace of dogs is increasing at an alarming rate which needs attention. Although there is no reported case of Rabies in the area till date, the increasing number of stray dogs may soon lead to Zoonotic diseases, informed the veterinary doctors involved in camp. DIPRO
