AALO, May 12: The 1991-94 batch alumni of Government Higher Secondary School, Aalo on Tuesday met West Siang Deputy Commissioner Moki Loyi here at his office chamber for discussing issues relating to demarcation of the existing boundary of the school and other key issues.
The team was led by Alumni President Gego Doji, Secretary Toba Ori, executive members Jumli Padu and Dr Jommi Loyi. Appreciating their concern, the DC assured the alumni association to carry out demarcation works at the earliest along with drawing of a new sketch map of the school and assured all-possible support from District Administration’s end. It’s worthy to note that the alumni association is exploring all ways to bring back the school, the oldest in undivided Siang and now in a dilapidated state to proper shape and to start with it will repair the school’s entry gate on a self-help basis.
The association will also look out for voluntary donations to carry out urgent repair works from time to time and approach the state government through the DA and leaders of the district for major infrastructural upgradation. DIPRO
