CHANGLANG, Jan 29: Changlang Police in collaboration with District Administration and District Transport Office observed the ongoing National Road Safety Month through an all-women two-wheeler rally here on Friday last.
More than 50 lady riders from Tangsa Women Welfare Society, Green Lawn Society, Police, DA, Health and Veterinary departments and civilians took part in the rally which was jointly flagged off by Assistant Commissioner F Bramha and SP Mihin Gambo from Changlang Circuit House.
The Assistant Commissioner appealed to all motorists to follow the essential driving rules to avoid road accidents. The SP and DTO H Wangham urged all to generate awareness on road safety.
Changlang Police also organized a road safety awareness campaign here in the market area on January 23 last which was attended by Deputy Speaker, State Legislative Assembly Tesam Pongte, officials and newly elected Panchayat leaders of the district. DIPRO
