ITANAGAR, Jul 22: Residents of the Itanagar capital region are bracing themselves after two prominent hospitals of the city on Wednesday shutdown services following detection of COVID-19 positive cases.
Heema Hospital situated at Itanagar has shut down their services till July 25 next after the sample of an attendent was found positive. The hospital will be sanitized for the next two days and testing of at least 200 staffers including doctors will be done during the two day period.
Wednesday evening saw the prominent NIBA hospital at Naharlagun also announcing closure of their services after a patient tested positive for Covid-19. However, the hospital management informed that emergency services will be functional till 12 noon of Thursday.
It is worth mentioning that RK Mission hospital is closed since July 23 for sanitization after a pregnant woman tested COVID positive.
Meanwhile, an official source informed that in view of the closing down of all the private hospitals in the capital region, TRIHMS will be functional for Emergency and Cancer services only. People have been asked to opt for services at Samaritan Hormin Hospital at Naharlgun.
