Ziro, Nov 23: As a part of the ongoing Legal Adoption month, Department of ICDS, Ziro today conducted a panel discussion on the subject at All India Radio, Ziro.
The programme discussed the procedures necessary for adopting children legally and the punitive measures under Adoption Regulations 2017 and the principal Act of 2011 in detail. Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Principal Magistrate, Juvenile Justice Board Domo Padu said the purpose of observing the Legal Adoption month is to encourage people on legal adoption and recognize those who have been impacted by adoption. Legal-cum-Probation Officer, District Child Protection Unit, Ziro Advocate Hibu Usha and Deputy Director, ICDS Dani Yami were the other panelists.
