Raga, Sep 30: The Air Force Wives Welfare Association (AFWWA), Tezpur unit donated ration packets to the Chitum Aane Women’s Group Raga here on Wednesday.
The packets included essential commodities like rice, salt and health supplements. Interacting with the womenfolk, President, AFWWA (L), Airforce Station Tezpur Seema Singh assured to provide assistance to the civilians of Kamle and Lower Subansiri districts during difficult times like the prevailing Covid pandemic and conduct similar camps in future. DFO Abhinav Kumar expressed gratitude to the staff of AFS Tezpur for their philanthropic gesture. Apoorva Vedavathi, who represented the AFWWA commended the efforts of the Chitum Aane Group for coming forward in the current difficult times to help their community.
It is worth mentioning that the group has been carrying out cleanliness drives during the pandemic and has also distributed masks to the general public. DIPRO
