ITANAGAR, Sep 27: In an endeavour to bring uniformity and quality journalism through the electronic and digital media in the state, Arunachal Electronic & Digital Media Association (AEDMA) conducted its meeting today and felicitated the newly affiliated members. President, Arunachal Pradesh Union of Working Journalists, Amar Sangno and General Secretary, Arunachal Press Club, Tanom Jerang attended the meeting as special guests. Speaking on the occasion, Sangno urged the digital & electronic media organization based in Arunachal to work with quality maintaining the ethics of journalism. He also elaborated on various challenges of journalists and media houses of the state. Defending the membership process under AEDMA, APC or in APUWJ, he said it is necessitated to maintain check & balance related to ethics as well as to maintain people's trust on those working genuinely for the profession.
Earlier, President AEDMA, Migom Toko informed that many organizations have applied for membership, however, due to incomplete paper works and other related norms they couldn't make the cut. As of now seven digital & electronic media houses have qualified for the membership. All the affiliation process was done after thorough verification of the company paper works and other norms of the AEDMA in consultation with APC and APUWJ. Meanwhile, the certificate of membership has been handed over to Itanagar News, Arunachal Today, News time Assam, Dy365 ,Gyolo News, Arunachal Mirror and East Mojo.
