ZIRO, Nov 29: Advisor to Union Minister Fisheries, Ramnath Pandita inspected the proposed site for Integrated Aquapark at Tarin today along with Minister Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries and Diary Development Er. Tage Taki  and Deputy Commissioner Swetika Sachan.
The proposed Aquapark which is  a dream project of Minister Fisheries Er. Tage Taki will have an aquatic referral lab and fish feed mill hatchery along with an aqua museum. The park spread across a sprawling 60.60 hectare will also lodge a brood bank, an ornamental fish breeding and repairing centre, Mahseer hatchery complex, fish packing, shed, live fish vending centre, a state of art fish market, training cum conference block and a guest house.
“It is my dream to revive the glory of the Tarin fish farm with this project. This Aquapark if implemented successfully shall be the hub for learning and research work on aquatic life and its viability in the state,” Er. Tage Taki said while highlighting the site plan of the park.  
Mr. Pandita advised the officials from the Fishery department to intensively study the Mahseer propagation, owing to the fact that few hatcheries across the country are defunct due to few constraints. 
The team also inspected the proposed high altitude trout breeding centre at Pange. Trouts shall be bred, conserved and propagated in this centre. They also visited the Tourist Facility centre and the orchid trail.
Earlier on Saturday, the Advisor also visited the fish farms of Likha Kamin and Likha Maj at Yachuli and interacted with the fish farmers.
Among others DFO Abhinav Kumar, DFDO Laigi Lasa and officers and officials from the forest, fisheries, hydropower and PHED departments accompanied the dignitaries.DIPRO
