AALO, Dec 24: Advisor Sustainable Development Goals for the state of Arunachal, Anindo Mazumdar, a retired IAS of AGMUT cadre visited West Siang and held threadbare interactive sessions with all head of offices on 17 development goals today.
Hailing the visit as homecoming to the district where he served in 1988, Mazumdar said that many issues are concerning mankind as rapid pace of development is putting enormous strain on the planet.
Development has dimensions which are inter-related and linked and these developments should not dislodge ecology and environment which too are essential for mankind and posterity. Niti Aayog has been entrusted to look after tasks of all Sustainable Developments Goals with scoring system for each performing district but score alone is not the end unless targets are set for ameliorate the conditions of human life and achievement is non-negotiable and we have to do it, he said. 
Urging implementing agencies to do their best, he said his duty is to give all advisory inputs in achieving the goals with calculated approaches.
West Siang Deputy Commissioner Penga Tato spelt out the objective of the visit and assured the Advisor to take SDGs programme to its logical direction. DPO Marjum Karga along with Head of Offices had detail interaction on various target gaps in implementing the programme. DIPRO
