ITANAGAR, Apr 3: The Bhartiya Janata Party Capital District Unit has expressed concern over relentless killing of cows nearby the highway particularly in slaughter houses established alongside NH-415 at Banderdewa Karsingsa, Nirjuli, Naharlagun, Gohpur and Chimpu etc.

Asserting that killing of cows on road side makes the twin capital city very unattractive to the passerby or in particular tourists, president, Tarh Sophing has requested the Deputy Commissioner, capital complex to check their licenses on regular basis and issue an order to shift slaughter houses at least 500 meters away from the National Highway.
