YUPIA, Apr 6: Deputy Commissioner Tai Kaye conducted a review meeting on performance of Direct Benefit Transfer and Aadhaar seeding process of beneficiaries in the district today in his office chamber. All HoDs present apprised the DC about the present status of their department. During the threadbare discussion, it was observed that slow progress of Aadhaar card enrolment and bank account opening process is due to lack of awareness among the people, interior locations and insufficient budgetary support. Further, it was decided that there should be door to door campaign on Aadhaar card enrolment with sufficient budgetary support and awareness on mobile banking facilities with the support of banks in the interior areas of the district where there is lack of banking facilities.
