ITANAGAR, Jul 4: The District Administration along with the Police carried out eviction drive to check illegal meat vendors along the National Highway. Separate teams led by EAC Itanagar Jiken Bomjen, EAC Naharlagun Hento Karga, CO Banderdewa Pama Bagang carried out the drive within their respective jurisdiction since the last few days. Earlier, an order in this regard was also issued by the Deputy Commissioner Itanagar Capital Complex, Prince Dhawan, prohibiting slaughter houses along the NH-415 within Itanagar Capital Complex. In spite of the prohibition order, few illegal slaughtering houses were found operational along the National Highway even though the vendors were given enough time to relocate to other feasible locations. During the drive, the illegal slaughter houses were evicted and defaulters were warned of strong action in case of any violation in future.
