PASIGHAT, Aug 1: Adi Students' Union (AdiSU) led by its President Jirbo Jamoh met Commissioner Education Padmini Singla during her visit to Pasighat and urged her to direct the authority to expedite the process to appoint Vice-Chancellor to the state's lone university-- Arunachal Pradesh University (APU).
Singla, along with other officials from the Education Department and JN College Pasighat visited the Arunachal Pradesh University campus to take stock of the situation. During the visit, the team inspected the administrative block and under construction academic blocks of the university.
"AdiSU is immensely pleased by the visit of Commissioner Education. We have reiterated our demand for early appointment of Vice Chancellor, Faculty Members and infrastructural development in order to achieve the dream of a fully functional State university. The Union will continue to pursue the issue till the demands are fulfilled," Jamoh said.
