ROING, Jul 6: To review the progress of works made under various line departments the monthly coordination meeting was held here today under the Chairman of Lower Dibang Valley Additional Deputy Commissioner, Chestha Yadav.

Speaking in the meeting, ADC emphasized on providing of counseling and guidance to the students, especially for those students pursuing higher studies and informed that a programme called “back to school” shall be started at various schools. Under the programme all the administrative officers and interested HoDs will be divided into groups and they will visit schools to give counseling and guidance to the students and take feedback from time to time.

She also instructed all line departments for proper monitoring of all undergoing works and urged them to submit status report. She also enquired on status of power supply and directed the power department to check and restore all defunct street lights in the township areas. Considering the substantial increase of visitors and tourist to the district, she also stressed on cleanliness of Deopani River and adjoining areas and directed DUDA to display penalty provision of new Sanitation Law at prominent places.

Various issues on Sanitation by laws, land encroachment, new digital electricity billing system, introduction of smart classes in schools, awareness programme on  implementation of schemes for girl child under ICDS, infrastructure developments activities under taken by various agencies in the district were also discussed.
