ITANAGAR, May 13: Activist Sol Dodum has called-off his plan to march to the national capital after the state government agreed to his charter of demands today.
Dodum who was staging a sit-in protest since April 15 last at the Tennis Court here in the state capital was all set to march to Delhi. However, he called off the march after a representative of the state government handed him an approval letter to transfer Seppa PS case No. 13/2022 U/S 323/324/341/427/34/120B IPC to the SIT and approval for conducting preliminary inquiry by Vigilance Department (SIC) on fund misappropriation in the department of PHED&WS Seppa Division.
"This was all possible due to the continuous prayers and support of the public," said Dodum extending his gratitude to the public. He further added that all the demands are fulfilled now. The Executive Engineer has been transferred, the water facilities are being corrected, the cases have been transferred  to SIT & SIC and the transfer of DC will be done within few months as per the rule, he added.
Meanwhile, Dodum also submitted in writing an assurance to call off his agitation without further demands. Sol Dodum created waves when he marched more than 225 km on foot from Seppa to Itanagar demanding clean water for Seppa town.
