Namsai, Oct 26: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Namsai Unit, successfully organized the General Knowledge (GK) Toppers Felicitation Programme today at the Multipurpose Cultural Hall, Namsai, to honour the meritorious students of the recently conducted GK Test.
The GK Test was organized by the ABVP Namsai Unit as part of a statewide competition held on 23rd August across 21 schools in Namsai District for students of Classes IX, X, XI, and XII. A total of 431 toppers were felicitated during the event, selected from among thousands of participants.
The Felicitation Programme was graced by the esteemed presence of Chow Jaleeng Mannou, Secretary General of the Tai Khamti Singpho Council and Executive Engineer, RWD, Namsai, as the Chief Guest; Dr. Chau Arina Manpoong, President of Arunachal Vikas Parishad (AVP), Namsai District Unit, as the Guest of Honour; Chow Chatiya Moungkang, Literary Secretary of the Tai Khamti Heritage and Literature Society and a Tai Khamti language activist, as the Special Guest; and Jelai Wangnaw, Lohit Vibhag Organising Secretary and National Executive Council Member, ABVP, as the Keynote Speaker.
The event was also attended by several invitees, teachers, parents, and hundreds of GK toppers and qualified students from across the district.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Chow Jaleeng Mannou and other dignitaries motivated and encouraged the students to actively participate in organizational and community activities and to contribute meaningfully to society as responsible citizens dedicated to the cause of nation-building.
