PASIGHAT, Jul 16: Adi Baane Kebang Women Wing (ABKWW) and Adi Baane Kebang Youth Wing (ABKYW) have conveyed their gratitude to Chief Minister Pema Khandu for appointing Kaling Moyong, the Pasighat East MLA as a spokesperson of the state government.
The team from the ABKYW led by its President Joluk Minung on Thursday called on the CM to extend thankfulness. Meanwhile a team from the ABKWW led by its President Olen Megu Damin met Arunachal East Lok Sabha MP Tapir Gao on Thursday and discussed the initiative of the organisation for re-introduction and promotion of ‘Kuyet’, the traditional shawl of the Adis. The MP was also requested to take up the matter of recognition of the martyrs of Anglo Abor War at the Central government level.  The women’s group also placed the proposal for observing January 26, 2022 as Shahid Diwas in Komsing village in Siang district where the war memorials of martyrs Matmur Jamoh and Lunrung Tamuk and the graveyard of Neil Williamson are located.

The ABKWW also recalled the contributions of late Opang Moyong, the father of the current MLA in the development of the area.
