PASIGHAT, Oct 1: The new headquarters office building of Adi Baane Kebang (ABK) named Do:ying Gu:min located opposite to Pasighat Indoor Stadium was formally inaugurated on Thursday by President, ABK Er. Getom Borang amid a large gathering of office bearers and members from various sister organisations of the ABK.

Inaugurating the office, Er. Borang recalled the initiatives of the former office bearers of the ABK and after a flag hoisting ceremony, representatives and leaders from various clans (opin buang) presented their suggestions and views before the ABK leadership. Issues like abolition of the revenge system prevailing among Adis of Shi-Yomi district, compulsory arrangement for community burial ground for villages, taking the matter of inclusion of Adi villages under Ruksin areas in East Siang district from the newly bifurcated Lower Siang district with state government etc. were raised by the clan-based leaders. 

Representatives from Bogum Bokang Kebang, Adi Agom Kebang, Adi Baane Kebang Women’s Wing (apex and district units), ABK Youth Wing, Adi Students’ Union, ABK East Siang and various clan leaders were present during the inauguration ceremony.
