The incident occurred on 26 April last when Sharma was reported being abducted by three armed men from the premises of the Chongkham Petrol Depot, sending shockwaves through the tight-knit community. A frantic search operation was launched immediately, involving both the local police force and concerned community members.
Police have not given any official statement on the incident yet. The motive behind the abduction remains unclear at this stage, and the police are continuing their efforts to apprehend the culprits responsible for this heinous act. The police have indicated that Sharma was kept in an undisclosed location and that the abductors demanded a ransom for his release. However, the details on the eventual release of the manager has not been made public to protect the ongoing investigation.
Upon his release, Sharma was found in a disoriented state but largely unharmed physically. The local police have intensified their investigation into the case, gathering evidence and following up on leads.
