ITANAGAR, Jul 9:The All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) will launch “Educational and Health Survey-2017” which aims to find out the real picture pertaining to infrastructure, manpower and other overriding

problems. The survey work is scheduled to be complete by the last week of August next.

The objective of the survey is to gather the exact ground problems plaguing the educational and
health departments in nook and corners of the state and thereafter to draw the attention of the state government for policy decision to improve the same.

The apex students’ body will endorse the survey work to itsfederating units’ i.e the District Students’ Union to visit all thegovernment schools and educational institutes and Hospitals and Health centres of the districts and the concern General Secretaries of the government colleges to find out the facts and figures.

AAPSU President, Hawa Bagang while chairing the meeting opined that all the legislators of the state should emphatically emphasise toinvest half of his MLA LADS specifically in educational and health sector to boost the basic facilities in the greater interest of the masses. The state cabinet should also pass a decision to make a policy on the matter, he asserted.

The union observed that the government schools and government hospitals are institutions where upon the common people rely the most and it very such necessary to improve the conditions of these institutions.

Spokesperson AAPSU Tadar Takiang, informed that the  move is towards a holistic approach of the present team to improve the classroom learning teaching process and health conditions in government
hospitals.

Furthermore, the AAPSU strongly welcomed the rationalisation of teachers to improve the educational scenario and asserted that it should not compromise and forbid political interference in the process.
