ITANAGAR, Feb 15: All Arunachal Pradesh Students Union (AAPSU) team today visited the office of Arunachal Pradesh Information Commission (APIC) and felicitated newly appointed State Information Commissioner Gumjum Haider. 
Extending congratulations on behalf of the Union, the visiting team led by AAPSU General Secretary Tobom Dai recalled the rich contributions made by veteran youth leader Gumjum Haider towards students union movement and the cause of indigenous people of the North East Region and Arunachal Pradesh as then General Secretary of AAPSU and Secretary General of NESO (North East Students Organization).
The state government has taken the right decision in appointing Haider as the State Information Commissioner after due process and his appointment has also brought joy to the students and the youth community of the state, Dai said. 
The Union urged the newly appointed SIC to discharge his function effectively and further strengthen the implementation of RTI Act in the state.
