ITANAGAR, Dec 9:  Complying with the decision of the apex students’ body of the Northeast, the North East Students’ Organisation (NESO), All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) has announced it will observe December 11 as Black Day across the state along with its constituent units as a mark of protest against the anti-indigenous CAB-19 that was passed in the Rajya Sabha on the same day last year.
AAPSU General Secretary Tobom Dai said the protest in the form of Black Day is a grim reminder of the injustice meted out by the Central government to the people of the Northeast. “Though it will be a peaceful protest, we want to remind the BJP regime at the Centre that in a democratic setup it is not always about the number of representatives you have in the Parliament, but about the genuine feelings of the region’s people,” Dai added.
