ITANAGAR, Jan 20:  Taking a serious note of the startling news that China has established a village in Upper Subansiri district, the All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) has condemned the act calling it “treacherous and provocative on the part of Chinese government.”

In its press release issued today, AAPSU has demanded from the union government to initiate appropriate counter measures to checkmate the evil expansionist move of the Chinese government. Chinese claim over our state has raised a myriad of problems notably the staple visa issue and the Siang river imbroglio which remain inconclusive till date despite the union raising them at highest levels many a time, the release read.

The lethargic and non-committal approach of the Central government and its mere lip service vis-a-vis Chinese antics is emboldening the neighbouring country from carrying out with their expansionist design, the union observed. AAPSU President Hawa Bagang said that Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of the country and its people are proudly patriotic Indians.

AAPSU seeks a special attention from the Prime Minister regarding the recent development in the state and not only in terms of military deployment, infrastructure development and road connectivity should take place simultaneously, the union asserted.
