AALO, Jul 21:

 

In a major breakthrough, the Aalo Police has busted multiple burglary and vehicle lifting cases with the arrest of the accused who had earlier escaped from Itanagar jail and is also wanted in two more cases in the state capital and recovered a huge haul of stolen vehicles and electronics from his possession.

 

The team led by OC PS Aalo, M. Geyi under the active supervision of Superintendent of Police, West Siang, Mari Riba has arrested Monya Ori alias Gamnya Ori of village Hu-Moli Aalo. A case has been registered at Aalo PS Case No. 24/17 and 25/17 under section 379 IPC. 
 

Earlier, the accused tried to escape with a stolen Maruti-800 car on July 4 last and was intercepted by Dumporijo Police and brought to Aalo Police Station for detailed interrogations in connection with series of theft cases at Aalo. The Police could recover and seize all stolen items from his possession after the accused divulged everything to the police after rigorous interrogation. The accused who had escaped from Itanagar jail in the past is also wanted in two more cases there. 

 

 

Three Maruti-800 Cars, three Scooty’s, 17 numbers of costly mobiles, a DSLR Nikon Camera, etc including cash amount of Rs. 17, 930 were recovered and seized from the accused.

 

 


Aalo Police is also sensitizing the public and shopkeepers not to purchase any unknown goods sold by unknown people as practice of buying the stolen goods at cheap rates encourage theft cases and may put buyers in trouble too.
