ITANAGAR, Nov 10: All Arunachal Contractor’s Welfare Association (AACWA) has urged the state government to maintain its Govt notification Vide. No.FIN/E-II/30/2017 Dated 19th August 2020 for complete abolition of Government e-Marketing (GeM) system for any kind of supply works at all state departments. 
It is noticed that departments like Social Welfare and Child Development and Education departments had procured items through Government e-Marketing (GeM).  Now Department of Health Services is also planning to do the same which may deprive many local suppliers and entrepreneurs of the state in coming days, it said.
AACWA further claimed that due to ill intention of few IAS officers, local entrepreneurs are being deprived and they are adding condition for compulsory procurement through GeM.
