ITANAGAR, Apr 7: The All Arunachal Contractors Welfare Association (AACWA) has appealed to the state government to issue an instruction to State Bank of India (SBI) to clear all government cheques deposited by contractors pending at various SBI branch in the state.

Asserting that many genuine contractors are waiting for their payments which were pending at SBI banks despite clearance given by concern department, the AACWA has urged the concern authority to look into the issue for the welfare of contractors
